If you’re a fan of the Halo universe then you’ve probably had your eyes glued to Bungie.net (the online home of the series’ developers) for the past 12 hours, watching the countdown timer tease us as each second falls away.
You may remember the team were gearing up to reveal a new Halo project this past June at E3, only for the plans to be scrapped at the last minute. Speculation, hope and impatience have been rife for what this latest announcement holds.
Well, the wait is now over… kinda.
Today at 7.07am PST, coinciding with the one-year anniversary of Halo 3’s release, the countdown reached zero and Bungie released a teaser trailer for (and we’re speculating here) what looks to be some kind of Halo 3 expansion with the tagline ‘Halo 3, Prepare to Drop’.
We are told to expect whatever the trailer holds on marketplace shortly.
